Romans 15:13 says, “May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The twinkle of the Christmas lights, the glimmer of the glittered decorations, the smell of goodies baking in the oven, fill the mind with wonder. Christmas is a magical time of year. Not because of the gifts or the parties but because we pause to celebrate our source of HOPE.
On the day Christ was born the world, our world, was forever changed. Life, our very breath, was given new meaning. Jesus came to this earth to bring hope, to give new life, and to restore what had been broken.
The magic of Christmas lives on in us, as believers, today. We get to be Christ to those around us, to share the love, joy, hope and peace that we have been given when we first called upon his name.
